Hidden Costs and Limits

In short 7 costs and limits from Make's public pages to check before you buy.

  • Prices are what Make's pricing page shows US visitors. Visitors in other countries see lower USD prices, for example Core from $9 a month billed yearly for 10,000 credits.
  • Core runs from 10,000 to 300,000 credits a month; Pro and Teams go up to 8 million. At 40,000 credits a month, billed yearly, Core is $38, Pro $69 and Teams $129.
  • Most module actions use 1 credit; routers and error handlers use none; some features that use Make's AI Provider use more. The Make Code app uses 2 credits per second of execution time.
  • When credits run out, scenarios stop until credits are added, and incoming webhooks queue up to the plan's limit. Extra credits come in bundles of 1,000 or 10,000, with optional auto-purchase of 10,000 on Core, Pro and Teams.
  • Unused plan credits expire at the end of the term. Extra credits expire after one month on monthly plans, or at the end of one year on yearly Pro and Teams plans.
  • Every plan includes unlimited users.
  • Enterprise: contact sales.

Is Make Worth the Price?

In short Ken's view: Make is worth it if you want a visual scenario builder where routers and error handlers use no credits.

Ken's view, from Make's public pages. It is worth the price if:

  • You want a visual scenario builder where routers and error handlers use no credits.
  • You need many teammates on one account, since every plan includes unlimited users.
  • You want to try AI agents and an MCP server on a free plan before you pay.

Limits to weigh against the price:

  • The Free plan allows 2 active scenarios, runs no more often than every 15 minutes and stops a run after 5 minutes.
  • When credits run out, scenarios stop until you buy more or upgrade; overage protection is Enterprise only.
  • Custom JavaScript functions, enterprise apps, the on-prem agent and company SSO are Enterprise only.
