What the suppression list tool does
It removes every row from your lead list that appears in a second list: customers, open deals, people who unsubscribed, people who asked not to be contacted, or contacts already in another campaign. Match by email, by domain to exclude whole companies, or by both.
Both files are read in your browser and never uploaded.
How to read the result
The counts show how many rows matched the suppression list and how many are left. Matches are split by type, email or domain, so you can see whether you removed individuals or whole accounts. The removed rows come as a second file.
How to use it
Keep one suppression file that every list goes through before a campaign. Add unsubscribes and "do not contact" replies to it as they arrive, export your customer and open-deal domains from the CRM into it, and run every new list against it. Use domain matching for customers, so nobody at a customer company gets a cold email.
Why it matters for cold email
Emailing someone who opted out breaks the rules in most markets. CAN-SPAM requires you to honour an opt-out within 10 business days. Under GDPR Article 21, once someone objects to direct marketing you must stop using their data for it. A cold email to a current customer is not illegal, but it is embarrassing and it costs trust with an account you already have.
