How We Ranked These Tools
In short We judged each tool on 5 criteria, using only facts from its own public pages.
- Data plus outreach: A contact database and sending in one tool, or two tools to connect.
- Cost per lead: Data credits plus sending for each lead you actually contact.
- Data checks: Whether emails are verified before you pay or send.
- Channels: Email, LinkedIn and phone from the same tool.
- Seats and terms: Per-seat pricing, monthly billing and annual contracts.
Ken is first because it is our product. The rest are ordered by how well each meets our ranking criteria. We do not use ratings from review sites, and we have not tested these tools hands-on.
1. Ken
In short Best for finding and emailing leads on one plan.
Ken is our top pick for lead generation when you want the database and the sending in one plan. Search 250M people and 24M companies for free, pay 1 credit ($0.02) per valid email, then run email and LinkedIn campaigns: a finished lead, found, qualified and personalized, costs about 1.45 credits ($0.03). Ken has no phone numbers, so teams that cold call should look at Apollo.io or ZoomInfo.
Price: the Free plan starts with 1,000 credits once and no card. Platform is $200 a month, or $160 a month billed annually. Ken Search: Search and enrichment are free; emails Ken finds cost 1 credit each, only when found.
Strengths
Search 250M people and 24M companies. Search is free; you pay only for valid emails found, 1 credit ($0.02) each. Company and person enrichment is free. Emails you upload or find with your own provider key cost nothing. Your AI agent can search the same database over MCP.
Limits
Counts are people and companies in Ken's database, not the whole market. Fair-use rate limits apply. Mobile and direct-dial numbers: no (work emails only). Browser extension: no. Buyer intent data: coming.
2. Apollo.io
In short Best for prospecting data and outreach in one seat.
Apollo.io pairs a contact database with sequences, a dialer and meeting scheduling in one seat, and has a free plan with CRM sync. It is priced per seat, and unlimited sending starts on Professional.
Starting price: $65 per seat a month, checked Oct 17, 2026. Free plan with 75 credits per seat a month, 2 sequences and 250 emails a day.
Strengths
Says it has 240M+ contacts and 30M+ accounts. Sequences, a US dialer, a meeting scheduler, call recording and deal management come in the same seat as the data. Charges email credits only for addresses it can verify, and never more than 1 credit per contact for an email. Free plan with 75 credits per seat a month, 2 sequences and API access, plus a 14-day trial of Basic and Professional. Salesforce and HubSpot push and pull and Bombora intent topics are included on every plan, Free too.
Limits
Priced per seat: $49 to $119 per seat a month on annual billing, and Organization needs 3 seats on an annual contract. A phone number costs 8 credits from the same pool as emails. Free and Basic cap sending at 250 emails a day and 1 mailbox per user; unlimited sends start on Professional. Credits, including bought add-ons, expire at the end of each billing cycle.
3. lemlist
In short Best for a lead database with multichannel campaigns.
lemlist lists a lead database, an email and phone finder, warmup and a deliverability hub on every plan, with LinkedIn, SMS and calls on Multichannel. Revealing contacts needs a credit add-on.
Starting price: $69 a month, checked Oct 17, 2026. 14-day free trial of Multichannel features, 200 free credits.
Strengths
The Email plan has unlimited users, email senders and contacts for one volume-based price, starting at $69 a month. A lead database, an email and phone finder, warmup and a Deliverability Hub are listed on every plan. The Multichannel plan adds LinkedIn automation, SMS steps and a built-in call dialer to the same campaigns. HubSpot and Salesforce are listed as 2-way syncs, with Pipedrive, Attio and Close also on the integrations page.
Limits
LinkedIn steps, SMS and the unified inbox are on the Multichannel plan only, at $109 a user a month on monthly billing, and each SMS also costs 6 credits plus a $15-a-month phone number. The pricing page lists no included credits on Email or Multichannel. The lead data add-on is $20 a month for 2,000 credits. The Email plan caps sending at 50,000 emails a month at the entry tier. 1,000,000 emails a month is $659. Multichannel allows 5 senders per user, so inbox count grows with seats.
4. Saleshandy
In short Best for a large contact database included with sending.
Saleshandy includes monthly Lead Finder credits in every outreach plan, with unlimited inboxes, warmup and a built-in CRM. LinkedIn steps are manual tasks or a hand-off to another tool.
Starting price: $41 a month, checked Oct 17, 2026. 7-day free trial, no card, capped at 100 emails.
Strengths
Unlimited email accounts and unlimited warmup on every plan, with no per-inbox fees. Starter is $41 a month, or $34 billed yearly, for 6,000 emails a month. Lead Finder database of 852M+ contacts and 42M+ companies, with 1,500 credits a month included on Starter. Seats come with the plan instead of per-user pricing: 1 on Starter, 10 on Pro, unlimited on Scale. Built-in CRM with unlimited prospects, plus a unified inbox for replies from every mailbox.
Limits
Only one user on Starter, and unlimited users only on Scale at $189 a month. Starter allows 2,000 active prospects and 6,000 emails a month. LinkedIn steps are manual tasks, or a hand-off to Aimfox or HeyReach: Saleshandy does not send LinkedIn messages itself. CRM integrations and webhooks start on the Pro plan.
5. Snov.io
In short Best for budget lead finding and campaigns.
Snov.io keeps lead search, verification, warmup and email campaigns in one subscription with unlimited seats. LinkedIn automation and phone data are separate subscriptions.
Starting price: $39 a month, checked Oct 17, 2026. Free Trial plan that renews monthly: 50 credits, 100 recipients.
Strengths
Unlimited team seats, senders, campaigns and follow-ups on every plan. Lead finder, 7-tier email verification, warmup and campaigns are in one subscription. Entry paid plan is Starter at $39 a month, or $29.25 a month billed yearly. Recipients are charged once per lead per billing period, and follow-ups are free. Built-in CRM with 20 pipelines and 10,000 active deals, plus two-way HubSpot and Pipedrive sync.
Limits
LinkedIn Automation is billed separately at $69 a month per account slot. Starter has 1,000 credits and 3 warm-up slots; the page prices a credit at 3.9 cents on Starter against about 0.9 cents on Pro M. Unused recipients expire after 30 days, and unused credits roll over only on annual plans. Phone numbers and data enrichment are a separate subscription at $0.02 per token.
6. Instantly
In short Best for high-volume sending with a lead database.
Instantly sells a contact database with waterfall enrichment next to unlimited sending inboxes and warmup. Data Credits are a separate subscription, and monthly Data Credits expire 2 months after purchase.
Starting price: $47 a month, checked Oct 17, 2026. 14-day free trial, no card.
Strengths
Unlimited email accounts and unlimited warmup on every Email Outreach plan, starting at $47 a month. A 450M+ contact database with 13 filters and waterfall email enrichment sits in the same account, billed in Data Credits. Inbox Placement tests and done-for-you inboxes (AirMail accounts at $4 a month) are sold inside the same account. The CRM add-on puts email, calls and SMS in one inbox with unlimited seats. Automations connect Instantly to HubSpot, Attio, Clay, Calendly, Aircall and the LinkedIn tools Aimfox, HeyReach and Expandi.
Limits
Sending, lead data, CRM and Inbox Placement are separate subscriptions: Growth outreach plus Growth credits is $94 a month before any CRM or placement add-on. Growth allows 1,000 uploaded contacts in total and 5,000 emails a month. Monthly Data Credits expire 2 months after purchase if unused. LinkedIn runs through partner tools in Automations, not as steps inside an Instantly sequence.
7. Hunter
In short Best for email-only lead finding with simple sequences.
Hunter finds and verifies emails and sends simple sequences from your own Gmail or Outlook, with unlimited users on every plan. It has no phone numbers, and free sequences send from one account.
Starting price: $49 a month, checked Oct 17, 2026. Free plan with 50 credits a month, unlimited users and 1 sending account.
Strengths
Unlimited users on every plan, including Free, sharing one credit pool. Charges only for results: no credit when the Email Finder finds nothing or a verification comes back unknown. Email finder, verifier and Sequences (cold email from Gmail, Outlook or SMTP/IMAP) in one plan, from $34 a month billed yearly. Says it has indexed 150M professional email addresses, and Domain Search shows where and when each address was found. API, MCP server, Chrome, Firefox and Edge extensions and a Google Sheets add-on on every plan.
Limits
Its pricing and data pages list email addresses only, with no mobile or direct-dial numbers. On monthly plans, credits reset each month and do not roll over. Free Sequences send from one email account, without link tracking, SMTP/IMAP, A/B testing or account rotation. Accept-all addresses cannot always be confirmed: Hunter verifies them only with several major email providers.
8. ZoomInfo
In short Best for enterprise teams that need mobiles and intent.
ZoomInfo sells mobile numbers, direct dials, buyer intent and website visitor data, with a free Lite tier and pay-as-you-go API access. Paid plans are annual contracts by quote with a seat minimum.

Intent data, website visitors and workflows start at Copilot Advanced, and Streaming Intent costs extra. The free Lite tier gives 10 credits a month and is closed to current or past paid customers.
How Do You Choose the Right Tool?
In short Ask each vendor on your shortlist these questions before you buy.
- Do you pay only when a valid email is found?
- What will the full monthly bill be at your sending volume once data, verification and extra inboxes are added?
- Are emails verified before you are charged?
- How many users and sending inboxes does the plan allow before the price goes up?
- Is it priced per seat, or one plan for the whole team?
- Are warmup, inbox rotation and placement tests included, or sold on top?
FAQ
In short 5 questions buyers ask about lead generation tools, answered from each vendor's public pages.
What is lead generation software?
Software that finds the people who fit your ideal customer profile, gets their contact details and helps you reach them. Some tools on this list only find data, others mostly send, and a few do both.
Should data and outreach be in one tool?
Ken's view: one tool saves the export and import between a data tool and a sender, and keeps found emails and replies on the same record. Two tools make sense when you need phone data or sending features the all-in-one lacks.
Which lead generation tools include phone numbers?
Apollo.io and ZoomInfo include phone numbers, and lemlist and Saleshandy reveal phones for more credits than an email. Hunter finds emails only, and Snov.io sells phone data as a separate subscription.
Which lead generation tools have a free plan?
Ken, Apollo.io, Snov.io, Hunter and ZoomInfo have a free plan or free credits. The rest offer a trial or no free option. The table shows the limits of each one.
How did you rank these tools?
We judged each tool on the 5 criteria under How We Ranked These Tools, using only facts from its public pages on the date shown. Ken is first because it is our product. The rest are ordered by how well each meets our ranking criteria.
